What is Cellulite?
Cellulite is the unsightly lumpy, dimpled skin appearance, also known as the 'cottage cheese' or 'orange peel' appearance. Cellulite consists of fat deposits that appear mainly on the hips, thighs and buttocks.
Cellulite is one of the most embarrassing and troubling skin conditions of women. It’s estimated that 90% of women over the age of 14, regardless of their weight or size, are affected by it.

What Causes Cellulite?
Cellulite is fat trapped by a network of connective fibers. As fat deposits accumulate within the structure of this tissue, the connective fibers (called Septum) pull on their anchor points on the skin. The result is a dimpling or “orange peel” effect.
There is a fair amount of research in the medical journals documenting how suction and mechanical massage effectively releases and relaxes this dimpling effect on the skin temporarily. Riiviva Cellulite was designed to be an affordable (yet temporary) solution to this very problem.
Cellulite Treatments that Actually Work.
Medical professionals, scientists and researchers agree that there is no cure for cellulite. This means that cellulite requires “maintenance”. The current choices for cellulite maintenance are:
Cellulaze ($7,000-9,000 per treatment area). This is a surgical procedure that among other things cuts the connective fibers (called Septum). This procedure requires downtime from swelling, wearing a compression garment for weeks and some deep pockets.
Velasmooth/Smoothshapes/LPG ($2,000-3,000 per treatment area). This is a procedure performed in a medical spa or plastic surgery suite. It requires setting an appointment, driving to the clinic, waiting in a reception room, putting on a protective full body garment and then a 1 hour procedure with an esthetician. Oh yeah, and you have to do it 12-16 times. Requires a lot of time and money.
Riiviva Cellulite ($299 for unlimited treatment) . You can do it as often as you’d like in the comfort of your own home. Riiviva Cellulite is registered under the FDA guidelines as a device that temporarily reduces the appearance of cellulite and circumferential body measurements where cellulite is treated
Riiviva for Cellulite
Roll the cellulite head over the skin in a forward/backward or circular motion while maintaining constant contact with the skin. You should feel a drag and pull effect on the skin. You should expect to see ‘redish’ or ‘pinkish’ lines left behind after each pass. Those red or pink lines dissapear after a few minutes but demonstrate the effective mechanical massage and stretching of the connective tissue that is taking place. We recommend a slightly aggressive motion with constant contact in order to realize the full effect of the treatment.
Why Suction and Mechanical Stimulation?
25 years and over 100 clinical studies validate the combination of suction and mechanical massage and its effect on cellulite and reducing the circumference of the fatty tissue at the area of the treated cellulite.
The combination of suction and mechanical stimulation is regularly shown to significantly reduce the circumference of the thigh through lipolysis (fat reduction) and improve the appearance of cellulite.
The action of suction and mechanical massage is to stretch the connective tissue (septum) that connects the skin to the underlining muscle tissue. When these pockets of fatty tissue bulge, the septum remain tightly anchored and the bulges create a dimpled effect on the surface of the skin. Riiviva Cellulite’s patent-pending 360 LIFT head puts a stretch on the septum, thus relaxing the connecting tension at the anchor points, compresses the adipocytes (fat cells) and can help to increases circulation. This results in two things:
- Improvement in your cellulite appearance
- Reduction in the circumference of your treated body part
Innovation and Design
We were the first company to design and market a handheld rechargeable clinical grade microdermabrasion tool with replaceable stainless steel tips. We are now innovating and pioneering new cellulite technology and offer the first ever “Cellubrasion” tip that combines the effects of microdermabrasion and celllulite in to one replaceable head.
